My name is Erzsébet Balázs MD PhD, I am an associate professor of Debrecen Eye Clinic.
Since finishing university in 1976, I have been working at this Clinic.
Between 1991 and 2004 I was Head of Department, while between 1994 and
1999 I was also responsible for the operating theatre section. Besides daily
medical activities and organizing operations, I was also supervising the first
operations of my junior colleagues.
I have been head of consulting in the endocrin orbitopathia department
(dealing with eye socket symptoms of patients with thyroid malfunctions) since
1997 as well as the paediatric eye department since 2004.
In my PhD paper I studied the interactions of blood flow relations in the eye
socket and in skull in different clinical cases. I have been taking part in the
practical training of medical students since 1976 and since 1991 also in the
theoretical teaching, testing of them. I also test would-be eye specialists and
paediatric eye specialists. My main areas are paediatric optometry, endocrin
orbitopathia, Hippel angioma and eye socket mutations, eyelid abnormalities.
I have 40 years of experience in the medical profession and training
medical students. I have consulting hours at the clinic and at my
private practise.
